Specialist periodontal & implant care — Beverly Hills

Technology

Technology that helps us
plan your care.

Imaging and digital planning help us understand your anatomy, explain your options, and prepare for treatment with your dentist.

Planning together

See what we see.

We review relevant scans and photographs with you during the consultation. You can see the area we are discussing and ask questions about the proposed treatment. The tools we use depend on the information needed for your care.

  • Cone beam CT

A three-dimensional image of the jaw helps us assess bone, nerves, and sinus anatomy when planning surgery. The area scanned is selected for the clinical question.

  • Intraoral scanning

A handheld scanner creates a digital model of your teeth. We use it for planning and to share information with the dentist or laboratory making your restoration.

  • 3D facial scanning

A facial scan can help relate the planned teeth to your lip line and facial proportions, particularly in full-arch and esthetic treatment.

  • Clinical photography

Photographs document your starting point and healing. They also help us explain findings and compare changes over time.

  • Digital implant planning

We combine the relevant scans and plan implant position around the final restoration, in consultation with your dentist.

  • In-office 3D printing

We print surgical guides, models, and provisional restorations for suitable cases. Designs can be reviewed and adjusted in the office.

  • Guided surgery

A surgical guide helps transfer the planned implant position to surgery. We assess whether guided placement is appropriate for your case.

  • Salivary microbiome testing

In selected cases, laboratory testing provides additional information about oral bacteria. We interpret the findings alongside your examination and medical history.

  • Implant systems

We work primarily with Straumann and use other systems, including ceramic implants, when appropriate. The choice depends on the site and the planned restoration.
